Essa semana o video de Buttons conseguiu alcançar as 100 milhões de visualizações e assim ganhando o tão esperado VEVOCertified. E com isso nós separamos algumas apresentações e alguns topicos sobre musica para voces relembrarem (mesmo não tendo como esquecer).

Buttons é o quarto single retirado do álbum de estréia das Pussycat Dolls, PCD. Este single é ligeiramente diferente da sua congénere presente no álbum PCD, pois foram-lhe adicionados dois versos de rap e conta com a participação de Snoop Dogg. Para o diferenciar da outra versão, é denominado de "Main Mix". Lançada como quarto single do álbum, se tornou um dos maiores sucessos das Pussycat Dolls.

O single recebeu uma certificação Disco de Ouro no Brasil, devido a mais de 50 mil downloads pagos, segundo a ABPD.  A musica foi escrita por Sean Garrett, Jamal Jones, Jason Perry, Nicole Scherzinger, Calvin Broadus e a produção ficou por conta de Polow Da Don junto com Sean Garret and Ron Fair. A musica alcançou o top 5 em paises como Australia, Alemanha e  Reino Unido, conseguiu também um #1 na Austria e na Nova Zelandia onde ficou durante 4 semanas em numero 1. Conseguiu ficar em 3º lugar na Billboard US hot 100 e vendeu mais de 2 milhões de copias digitais nos Estados Unidos, fazendo o The Pussycat Dolls ser o primeiro grupo feminino na história digital a ter tres singles com mais de 2 milhões de cópias vendidas digitalmente. O música B-Side de Buttons é a faixa Flirt. 

A Billboard Classificou Buttons sendo a sétima melhor música do verão de 2006. A Rolling Stone classificou a música na 91ª posição entre as 100 melhores musicas de 2006. Em 2010 a Ernest Baker, classificou a música como na 16ª posição na lista das 25 melhores musicas de todos os tempos. Em 2013 os escritores da Complex Magazine colocaram a música na 18ª posição na lista Sexual Top 40 hits.

"Buttons" is a song recorded by American girl group The Pussycat Dolls from their debut studio album, PCD (2005). The song was co-written by Sean Garrett, Jamal Jones, Jason Perry, Nicole Scherzinger, Calvin Broadus while the production was handled by Jones under his stage name Polow Da Don along with Sean Garret and Ron Fair. "Buttons" was released for a digital download on April 11, as the fourth single of PCD and was serviced to contemporary hit radio in the United States on May 8. Musically, "Buttons" dance-pop and R&B song which uses Middle Eastern music. The song's lyrics speak of a woman's desire to be undressed. Critics were divided on "Buttons"; some complimented the song's production, however, others criticized for following the same formula of previous singles.

The song reached the top-five in countries such as Australia, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The song reached number one in Austria and in New Zealand were it became their fourth consecutive number one single on the chart. It peaked at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100 and sold over two million digital copies in the United States, making The Pussycat Dolls the first female group in digital history to have three singles pass the two million mark in digital sales.

The song's accompanying sepia-toned music video features The Pussycat Dolls in various dance sequences. It was nominated for two awards at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards while Robin Antin and Mikey Minden won the Music Video Production Association award for Best Choreography in 2007.

Billboard ranked "Buttons" seventh best song of the Summer of 2006. Bill Lamb ranked the song at 92 on his list of Top 100 Pop Songs of 2006, commenting "it's not among the best songs from their string of huge pop hits, but 'Buttons' is still listenable." Rolling Stone ranked the song at 91 on its list of 100 Best Songs of 2006. In 2010, Ernest Baker ranked the song at 16 on his list of The 25 Greatest Slutwave Songs Of All Time. In 2013, the writers of Complex magazine put the song at number 18 on their list of Sexual Top 40 hits.
